On the way to Annabelle and Jonathan's engagement session in Central Florida, we kept an eye on the weather. After all, it wouldn't be a Florida- summer without the chance of rain! By the time we actually made it to the location, the sky was overcast and it was sprinkling.
Having planned and looking forward to their engagement session for weeks or even months in advance, this might come as a bit of a disappointment to some couples. However, overcast weather can provide really beautiful light for photos! Not to mention it increases the likelihood that there will be fewer people out and about if the session's taking place at a public location. This is exactly what happened for these gorgeous lake photos! We had the whole place to ourselves.
A little back story about Annabelle and Jonathan:
Growing up, I spent parts of the summer in Georgia visiting family. Being close with my cousin, Brooklyn, I got to know members of her extended family too. Annabelle is Brooklyn's first cousin and I've always considered her to be direct family to me too.
Despite being rather protective over his little sister, Jonah, Annabelle's brother, introduced these two last December. The rest is history!
We're looking forward to traveling to Georgia to capture and celebrate Annabelle and Jonathan tying the knot this winter! We already know they're going to knock it out of the part with their wedding photos! In the meantime, take a look at how adorable they are (and how lovely that overcast weather turned out!).
